The new update is finally out to celebrate Half-Life PS2 port and Blue Shift 20-th anniversary. This update addresses some old problems and further refines the experience.
Full changelog:
- Alien mode is fully playable now.
- All PS2 cheat codes can now be obtained in-game.
- Added ability to bind weapon quick swap (lastinv) to a gamepad button in the settings menu.
- Expanded arsenal: hornet gun and crossbow can be obtained through exploring (but be aware that crossbow ammo is scarce, use it carefully).
- [PS2] Animated all extra bones in the scientist, Barney and hgrunt models: lab coats and fingers are displayed correctly now.
- [PS2] Added PS2-style first aid and charger stations.
- [PS2] Fixed texture mapping on viewport weapon models.
- Optimized RAM usage. This should reduce stuttering, but it can still happen from time to time.
- Patched ELF to perform resource cache flush after exiting the game through menu or trigger_endsection, this should help with the stability.
- Capped FPS to 30 to improve frame pacing. If you do not like this change you can uncap it right from the pause menu.
- To prevent tram being stuck player controls are now frozen until the "Insecurity" chapter.
- Fixed weird windows behavior in "Insecurity" chapter.
- Added collision box around scientists in the elevator at the end of "Insecurity" chapter.
- Found a way to fix and restore Xen crystal tuning sequence.
- Removed ambush during platforming section on ba_xen3 because it was causing severe stuttering if spawned enemies were left behind.
- Added ability to watch unused Dreamcast Blue Shift intro from the "New game" menu.
- Fixed BS2PC messing up brightness of transparent '{' textures.
- Brand new menu background image.
- [PC/DC] Small adjustments to HUD to make it more accurate to those versions.
- [PC] I had to put more HD models into the mix to stop overflowing GL texture index and thus to stop crashing. I also made an ELF patch that moves skybox further inside that index to stop texture corruption. After that it was possible to optimize textures inside the PC models and thus to drastically improve performance in this mode.
- Some other smaller fixes.
Не то ли это самое интро из Dreamcast-версии, о котором я думаю?
