This mod is about bringing players the familiar feel, atmosphere and action of the original ravenholm from Half-Life 2. In WDGTR you wake up as freeman himself, but in a different place and different time. You will have to walk through the town full of traps and death. Will you make it through, or become one of the corpses laying on the streets?

Today i will talk about the lack of posts for this mod, and the demo release.

Quite a bit of time has passed since my last post on the mod, so i wanted to post some news on the mod to show that this mod is fully alive and well.
I wanted to release the demo last december, but i was not that happy with it, and i had to remake some levels, pretty much then i became busy and didn't get a lot of time to work on the mod without burning out.

I didn't post all this time, because i didn't have too much new stuff to show, and i didn't want to create too much false hype around this mod.

And now, about the release of the demo:
The demo is practicaly fully playable, it just needs some finishing touches, so this means that the demo could be releasing somewhere in the next 2 weeks.

i know it sounds strange but i had dream about this mod
This mod looks really promising I have always wanted someone to make a mod that's like this as I am a massive fan of Ravenholm's whole aesthetic.
Anything new regarding the mod? There hasn't been anything posted since last year, October. Would be a shame if it got canned/forgotten.
It's absolutely not canned/forgotten, im still working on it, just have been extremely busy lately, i don't want to show too much yet, You will see the new stuff with the demo release
I hope grigori will be in the mod since he was a huge part for the Ravenholm chapter.
Hey, this mod's name "We Don't Go To Ravenholm' but in the mod it looks like you do go to Ravenholm. What's the deal?
Well, this mod is named after the Half-Life 2 chapter "We Don't Go To Ravenhom" in which you go to Ravenholm too, and you don't go there because you choose to, you have to get through the town to escape.
I have been waiting for a Ravenholm mod with a quality maps design for a long time, because none of the existing ones has even approached the level of Valve. And yours looks quite canonical. :)
How many maps will there be? Will there be Father Gregory ?
In the demo release there will be 4 levels. And yes, there will be Father Grigori

I was wondering about the mod if it will just be more Ravenholm or will you add some nice stuff to play around with? (That range from new enemies, weapons, mechanics or locations).
Well, in the full mod there will be new mechanics and enemies, those enemies will not be something you have never seen before, they will be combine soldiers, as i'm trying to do the similar thing that E3 Half-life 2 Trap town aka ravenholm had, so you will also be able to make use of new traps to kill them. And about the location: This whole mod is based on the part of the ravenholm no one had seen before, and at the end of the mod you should be able to visit the Ravenholm docks, which you also haven't seen before. But in this demo that will release there will not be the new enemies, so it will be fairily similar experience to the Half-Life 2 Chapter: We Don't Go To Ravenholm.
