Half-Life 2 Wars: Revolution is a standalone add-on pack for the RTS Source modification, Half-Life 2: Wars. It introduces new units and buildings for which you can build, control, and kill with, including HECU marines, F.E.A.R. Replica soldiers, and even the "Arachnids" from Starship Troopers.

NOTE: We have not made the core modification, all credit besides the new units and buildings is given to the Half-Life 2: Wars team and the original mod, Half-Life 2: Wars.

REQUIREMENTS: Half-Life 2 Wars: Revolution requires the Source SDK Base 2007 and Half-Life 2: Episode Two installed and ran at least once.

- Half-Life 2 Wars: Revolution was developed and coded by Brandon Jenkins, and managed and organized by Adrian Lopez. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please contact Adrian "The Joker" Lopez at adrian_n_lopez@hotmail.com

Hello everyone!

Wow, have we gotten a response from the official release of Half-Life 2 Wars: Revolution on ModDB. You all seem to like it, and it is nice to be able to experiment with new units and such that aren't implemented just yet in the original Half-Life 2: Wars. But I believe the big question is, what comes next?

Me and my programmer have decided to cease development on Half-Life 2 Wars: Revolution. At version 1.0, we see that's it done, through, and finished. But, we want to hear your opinion on it.

Should we release a patch for the mod, fixing stuff, adjusting settings, and adding new units, buildings, and maps?

We want to hear YOUR opinion on the matter. But now, we are to discuss what new things we COULD throw into the mod.

A New Singleplayer Skirmish Gamelobby

The current gamelobby in version 1.0 of Half-Life 2 Wars: Revolution is NOT the current version included in Half-Life 2: Wars. The current version looks like this:

We are unaware if we are allowed to put this into the mod, but there's no harm in asking.

New Multiplayer Maps

There is a possibility of us including up to about 4 multiplayer maps into Half-Life 2 Wars: Revolution. Again, I am unaware if we are allowed to do this, as these maps are currently in the current version of Half-Life 2: Wars, but they've around forever. Here are some screenshots of them:

Some interesting maps that you could totally have a blast playing on. We're working on getting permission to use all the assets, and then we can back to you.

Until then, that's all we have to do discuss. Please, track the mod, and comment and tell us what YOU WANT TO SEE!

Until next time,

You need ep2 because of the maps and the models it uses.

herp derp

....Yes...you do... You got a LEGAL copy of HL2 right? This Mod requires Source SDK Base 2007 at the very least to run.

Don't understand all the hate to this guy. You don't need Steam to play HL2.

This Seems very good, My recoemendation is cosing place for the buildings in a similar way like StarCraft. By the way if the map is bigger than what you see in the mini map, will the mod still work. Can the map even be bigger than the map in the mini map?

"Cosing place for buildings"?! Well if what you mean is you can choose where to put buildings, then yes you can. If you mean looking inside buildings, there's a button for that on the HUD (looks like a House).

Sorry if this is late, it's been forever since I checked here.

BTW, I'm sorry if you all are experiencing problems with the Mod. It's been over a year since I even worked on it and in that time it might've been bugged by Steam updates etc...

I cannot help with some issues; all I can say is reinstalling the Mod/restarting Steam might work if you haven't tried it yet.
