Remember, since the nihilanth died, none of the creatures of xen have armor anymore. They are just flesh and bone.

thats why its not that half life 1 hardish to kill them,
its like, 6 buckshots to finish one of them,
i think those monsters without armor really fits game karma

Yeah, due to the strange Garry's Mod enemy vs. ally cross-game where the HL1 Zombies attack the HL2 Zombies and vice versa, I have found that the HL1 Zombies are more powerful. Or, at least, they can kill a HL2 Zombie before it kills them.

Uh...are its knees backwards? That thing is just plain disturbing and looks like it has random asymetrical bits growing out....I'd agree with Raider and say it needs some more work OR a better screenshot because this one might just be not so clear.

I used the concept from Raising the Bar (page 27) as a reference, and didn't think about Vortigaunt's legs in HL2 (how they had been updated to have more knees). The legs are also a lot thicker than those of Vortigaunt's, so having more knees could be troublematic.

its legs are too far back while walking, it looks like it would fall over...
besides, if you put them further forward it would stand taller, right now it is a bit short

edit: actually I just watched the trailer and it looks fine, it just looks weird here for some reason

this is it's natural view. when the nihilanth had armor on them it made them stand up straight and look bigger, now that all that is removed they look natural

If they have though no body armor they should die with one double-shotgun blast against the head not taking three double-shotgun blasts to go down. That I would expect from armor not from flesh and bones... and an unprotected head.

Looks great, but when the Nihilanth died, the COLLARS were taken off, weren't they? Either that or automatically destroyed.

IMO they need the armor.

The collar wasn't natural armor, it was a sign of enslavement, and was probably something to torture the vorts once they got out of hand.

HERE: Half-life.wikia.com

There's a vort with a collar, IN Half-Life 2. And in Decay, the collar was taken off for tests. Is it supposed to just disappear?

And if they are taken off, which they probably are, why wouldn't they keep them? IT'S ARMOR!

Still great model. Freaks me out a bit.
