I am having trouble getting this working. When I load the game, it doesn't say "Deep Down" it says "Deep do_n", no maps in chapters and in console it doesn't let me play any maps saying that are invalid.
You have to be on steampipe beta for this to work. Convert ep2 by right clicking on the game, select properties, go to betas tab, select steampipe beta and click close. Now run ep2 and the game will convert. Once that's done. Restart steam and voila!

Note: In a 2016 post on the main page, Partridge notes that betas should NO LONGER be selected for this to work.
Downloaded and tried everything (I think)that you suggested in both the demo version and this one...I still don't see it :(
I'm kinda stupid to ask this but what is steampipe, how do I download it or whatever?
Steampipe is already there. Its an update from Valve which applys to every of their games and tools. If you switch to beta on the games the update is reverted.

Really good mod and worth playing. For those unsure how to get this one working:
1. Half-Life 2: Episode Two will obviously need to be installed.
2. Extract the archive to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods
3. Fully close Steam, including the system tray icon.
4. Open Steam and the mod will be listed there with all your other games.
