I promised myself that I would NOT add just visual-driven pictures, but, since there's been a while with no updates here, I am here showing this...

If we aren't posting stuff... we probabily are working on what I said there :P
Well, hope you like this, credit goes to RED_NED :D
Me like.
nice
You sir, have a very pretty mod on your hands.
why the hell am I not tracking this too!?!??! great work! keep it up guys!
Pretty nice dude
Spec or gloss ?
The normal and specular are both a little too strong, it just looks wrong.
@Ashkandi
The effect is called specular. Gloss is for how big you want to have the highlight, most old engines will have a default value for that.
This engine does not do Spec well at all.
Actually, Gldsrc doesn't support spec. With Paranoia's renderer now it does.
Can you show your particle system too?Good work with the lighting in the place. You use lots of imagination to make this scene...
Sure. Here is: Youtube.com
We use BattleGrounds particle engine with a few improvements made by me and Highlander.
the coolnes of the epicnes is so awesom..
Your spelling is so awesome...
YAY! for Goldsrc!
very nice.
somebody's showing off..... for reason ;)
wow, just like KILLING FLOOR
Pretty cool stuff
It's just AMAZING!!! never thinked this things will be in GoldSource!! :D
Thanks you all for the lovely comments :)
Gold source is alive, long live gold source!
Nice one.. it's just a pity that it doesn't apply to models, Paranoia always looked a bit odd with bumped surfaces but plain models :\
Yeah, that's right :(
Even though some models with SD textures could make things less noticeable. Smart prop placing could help as well.
Dayum
The effect is IMO too strong.
It may seem that way only because of the relatively harsh lighting conditions, but I don't think it's over the top. It reminds me of the gritty S.T.A.L.K.E.R. look :D great job
Sexy, but what's the performance hit?
There's not a big performance hit at all. We use Paranoia which does some calculations before hand (at compiling time). Of course, a few FPS will drop since you would be using some advanced effects there. How much depends of your pc.
You'll be able to disable advanced features with ease, in case you aren't happy with the results.
Sounds just as sexy as it looks, then.
impressive
O_O awsome!!
looks better than source...
why are these textures hd, while the outside ones are sd? is it to accommodate the massive amounts of vegetation? or are they older screens or what?
What is on walls should be less durable from metal so this give me weird contrast between clean wall and broken roof
that is really cool
