Half-Death is a half-life mod. You are an employee of the blackmesa facility. But unlike Gordon Freeman, you are not a scientist but more like, due to the knowledge of a hostile alien existence in the border world which Xen is, you have been recruted as emergency unit used to maintain alien invasions, if it were to happen, mistakes are so easilly done! Of course, the incident at blackmesa is not easy for you either (the player and the two of your colleagues) to survive through. You also gain the use of a brand new type of HEV..it's called
HESA (Hostile Environment Survival Armor) which is pretty similar to the HEV. The changes you notice most is the slightly different design and the reddish color, and may think it is the only "upgrade" , however...
Unfortunatly, not long after the disaster, a huge creature heads towards you, it is unlike anything you have acountered before, and only a few moments after... You are lying on the ground. The HESA proved quite useless against this fiend. As you take a last breath, and slowly, your vision dims away. The last thing you saw was that beast, finishing off your partner. Your mind is filled with rage but soon, all thoughts are gone.
Suddenly, you regain counciousness, caughing, and quickly realise breathing is impossible..you remember what happened and finally open your eyes... No...What is this place?...
Could it be Xen?
You look at your hands and realize the worst.
You are dead of course, but your soul is not.
And that place... you've never been before. The architecture... this could not be the border world your superior had been talking about.
The smell... stench of blood and decay.
This is the Underworld.

no need to say why we couldn't continue Half-death.
lack of time, lack of experience, lack of help..etc.
+ HL2 is comming on february right ? we'd never be done before that, and Mr.G said he'd continue the mod only after xmas. well so be it
Until HL2 comes out, we will prepare by making sketches, story lines(1 new chapter added longer "living time" and others), thinking and dreawings maps and events.
maybe also some voice acting and recruit team members to reduce the time it will take us to finish it ... once we start it that is ;)
hey.. maybe i will be able to make 3d models when we start ! i know i will eventually but when, i cannot tell ^^
unfortunatly there seems to be no way to improve my typing skills LOL...
we will also greatly reduce (or try to improve) the links with azure sheep and point of view.
since we won't be using any models of theirs anymore,
i dont wanna go tru all the trouble to make a link between them since our story has nothing to do with theirs.
i still thank them for allowing me to use their thigns altho i never had the chance to ^^. and i wil redraw the main character better because the Moddatabase banner i made sux hehe well thats abut it for now, we will prolly get you guys informed after xmas...
i got shitload of exams right now.. and mr.g... well he has nothing as usual hehe but he wont do anything till after xmas.

...there was a mod, with the same fate as Half-Dead; become dead. The mod was called Crimes of 1932.
Everything worked out fine at the beginning, but then every team member left, besides me and my friend. I don't know why, because they didn't say anything. They just left.
haven't tried HL2 yet .. School makes me kinda busy and G needs a new comp to run hl2.. maybe we'll get addicted to it and make the mod. yet again I don't know if we are going to keep the story.
maybe hl2 has some special mod making feature that allows a good mod to be done in a few days ? *hopes* lol

Maybe I'd give up to learn some flash? I became good at drawing , i have plenty of storylines, ideas... then again i 'd like to make an mmorpg... and cartoons.. and and.. i will probably not... i think.. i think i'm gonna just forget about those ideas.. my talents.. and.. live a long and pointless life... doing stuff i don't like...
Ugh... a part of me wants to continue this, another doesn't want to... Ever had that feeling? I've prooven myself to have skill.. but i hate the time it requires to accomplish this project, which might make we forget about it. However i do want to show what i'm capable of, i'm filled with decent ideas.. if only someone would do it for me? I might give them up to people with the will to do it? I need help on this, i don't know what to think...
Mr.G and me talked it over a bit and we MIGHT actually forget about half-death.
unless modding on hl2 is easier than hl1, i doubt we could actually do anything.
However, I suggested to stop it for a good reason. While Mr.G wanted to create a mod of his own ideas (good ideas, but i don't like the thriller type :P), I was kinda deceived of my crappy storyline where nothing would stick together. In fact, the only real good ideas were impossible to adapt to the story.
While it was interesting at first, I realise I won't be enjoying the game very much.
I DO have ideas for a different half-death.
However, I can't jump into conclusion until I fully test to pros and cons of HL2.
I might actually want to try a 3rd person view mod or something. The fact that you would only rely on few ranged weapons in Half-Death makes it critical to have decent quality 3rd person view, with 1rst person view alternate mode for some ranged weapons.
Back to start ^^. I will think over the whole story again. Much better that way because I currently have a scenarisation class in which I will learn to make decent stories, good for games and theater movies.
I should also learn 3D after summer.
While I think there was a few person who volonteered for 3d models ect, I'd rather do it myself. Nobody serves you best than yourself I guess hehehe. I will also learn coding (i hope) After all, I am learning in multimedia, surely to work in the video games later :P
Well stay tuned for news. Next weekend I will meet Mr.G and we will see what we can do.
