Give your bots the CPU cycles they deserve. They have earned it ! Hardware Accelerated Battlefield AI (HABAI) improves AI bot performance. At the present time it is only available for the Forgotten Hope mod for Battlefield 2. Support for other mods like AIX2 may followas well as ArmA2:OA. What does this mean ? For the player it means more intense gameplay, with bots using and performing better with weapons and vehicles. That means blistering game play with more bullets flying, more explosions, more aggressive AI, more fun ! Mods without servers full of human players can be given a new lease of life. The AI is more difficult to play with as it responds faster. Clans can use this mod to improve training in BF2 with bots. The mod will also allow easy switching of maps using the in game map voting menu. There will also a be a custom quick start GUI so single player and coop players can get quickly into a multicore accelerated game with the AI.

Just thought I should be clear about the status of this project for anyone interested. Due to circumstances out of my control I cannot work on the mod for the moment. However in the next few months I will eventually be in the position to carry on with this mod ! HABAI will live on !

Just thought I should be clear about the status of this project for anyone interested. Due to circumstances out of my control I cannot work on the mod for the moment. However in the next few months I will eventually be in the position to carry on with this mod ! HABAI will live on ! I was just browsing the Project Reality forum and saw this post. Nice to see someone "getting it" about how to improve the AI performance. This is good for anyone who uses Coop for playing with bots or online with bots and friends. Project Reality (PR) after 8 years has reached a version 1 release. Battlefield 2 is very much alive as a game. Extraordinary for a game released 7 years ago in the fast moving video game market. Looking at the PR screen shots reminded me how immersive BF2 can be, especially with lots of bots flying around, for those who like bots ! So I am looking forward to getting to an HABAI release once my difficulties at the moment are over. HABAI ... they're coming ;)
