GUNSLINGER mod is S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat weapon-related modification, which is not ordinary armory expanding or balancing mod. This mod overhauls the original first-person point of view to true quality vision with every movement looking natural and every weapon behaving like its real counterpart. Using items like med kits will be visible to you now, weapon jamming will have its own unique animation and upgrading your weapon will be another big point of your survival in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – every weapon have it’s own upgrade tree which consists of suppressors, scopes, laser sights and etc. GUNSLINGER mod will make your S.T.A.L.K.E.R. experience more immersive with the animation overhaul and challenging since using items will have it’s own requirements (like taking off your mask) and will cost time. Controller will now play with your mind so hard it can make you suicide. So reload your gun, prepare some pills and med kits before going out. That’s how you play GUNSLINGER mod.
Description
GUNSLINGER Mod (build 2020/02/07) is available. How to install: Run the installer / specify a separate folder for the mod / specify the root folder of the original game STCOP 1.6.02. After installation is complete, open the folder with the installed mod. Inside are two key files; 1. CheckUpdates.exe - through it we will release updates, after starting the updater everything will be done by itself. 2. Play GUNSLINGER Mod.exe - launches the game with the mod. (Note: if you start the game from the original shortcut, the GP mod will be ignored and the game will start without it). Important: If an antivirus swears when installing a mod and / or downloading updates, then: 1) Add the installer file and the directory where the mod is installed (or where it will be installed) to the exclusions of your antivirus 2) Go to the website of your antivirus developers and create there False positive correction request.

Not that i know of ive been trying for 2 days and it seems if you even look at the plain text file the wrong way it wont open... im not sure what to do
It's quite easy.
You have to download AXRToolset from their github. Use the tool's recursive function to unpack the entire Stalker folder.
You'll get all the data in a way that can be used in the "gamedata" folder.
Find the actor.ltx and change the weight (35 ;50 is default). Find system.ltx and change weight and ruck to second value, and another at least 6 higher.
Then copy the actor.ltx and system.ltx files AND their folder paths into the gamedata folder already inside your gunslinger installation root folder.
It worked great until I can't crouch lower like the og game. However the animations and details are great. Keep up the good work. It would be great if this mod works for Call Of Chernobyl

One issue with the -AS VAL- when torch of weapon is 'ON' is this circle on the gun while aiming: Imgur.com
Also a second issue with the weapon is that the mag size has 29 bullets & not 30 like it says.

How playable is this without the english localization? I want to try it out but not worth it if I can't understand whats being said
it's honestly quite playable, you just need to read strings for the items like "gunsl_fn_p90" i'm sure it's not that hard to assume what that would be even without the picture
I remember CS GO got something like P90, but what was that? Some kind of machine gun? Or was that a pistol... ah, nah, it's just our favourite minigun.

Does the st_wpn_ak74ub work with any optics? I can't seem to find any that work with it even though I've upgraded it to support an optical mount.
Ah, nevermind. There are two optic mount ugprades for some reason. The first one doesn't seem to work with anything but the bottom one does.

Why is the mods default install path system32? And whats the purpose of the crypto.dll? Just a bit curious cause I've never seen this in any other mod.

I've been playing COP for awhile now and out of all the mods I've tried, this one takes the cake!
I would like to know a mod/program something to be able to spawn in stuff from this mod, I can experiment, do a review, play around a little, etc.
Again, an amazing, vast mod, the guns are amazing so far, (Patiently waiting for the F2000) you guys did amazing with this, it turns a game from 2009/2010 and makes it look like a 2020 release!!
