This just make me wonder what was going through Killuh's head when he drew this.

Are you going to make your own Alien grunt? Because I understand that the grunt made by the Human Error guys are open for anyone to use, and they're pretty good. If you think it might save time... then again I understand if you have your own clear picture of the type of monster you want to put in game.

Just throwing it out there in case you guys weren't aware.

we will go with our own model, we wouldn't request a concept for it if we weren't. we intend to use as much of our own content as possible.

also, the human error grunt doesn't have any armor which i think is a too big departure from original.

What are you talking about!? The Human Error grunt is bloody awful! It looks like a potato with legs and the skin is a joke!

This on the other hand, looks awesome.

His legs are a bit too long for my taste. Other than that, great.

We went through quite alot of iterations with regard to the legs. They were originally alot shorter and it made the grunt look far too top heavy. I think KilluH has achieved a really great look and the mechanical legs really add to the intimidation factor.

The legs specifically remind me of the quake 4 section where the main character has his limbs cut off.

it's possible that lenght will be tweaked during the modeling phase.

It looks epic.. But it should remain close to the original out of Hl1. And in hl1 he didn't had human sized legs or that much of a robot style.
