Todo comienza cuando carl jhonson viajo a Liberty City para mejorar su posición económica,mientras cj (carl jhonson) estaba ausente sus hermanos Sweet y Brian combatieron contra los ballas para tener el control absoluto de Los Santos ryder y smoke amigos de la infancia se aliaron con los ballas para tener poder, dinero, etc. los ballas se iban apoderando poco a poco de Los Santos y los grove street decendian por la ausencia de su gran líder "Cj" y ryder y smoke aprovecharon esta oportunidad para usar a su hermano Brian para que cj volviera a Los Santos y matarlo, ryder y smoke convencieron a Brian para que se uniera a los ballas que le iban a dar todo el dinero para ayudar a su madre entonces decidieron hacer una falsa escena para que viera su hermano sweet como lo mataban los ballas a brian. como cj no pudo asistir al funeral del supuesto hermano muerto ryder ordeno matar a la madre de cj sin que se enterara brian.
Carl jhonson recibe una llamada de su hermano sweet diciéndole que habían matado a su madre entonces cj regresa a los santos para vengar la muerte de su madre al transcurrir la historia del juego descubre que smoke y ryder lo traicionaron decide acabar con ellos y recuperar el control de Los Santos matando a los lideres de los ballas, pero cj no sabe que quedo un solo líder Brian ,decide vengarse de cj por que le mintieron diciéndole que los grove street mataron a su madre y haci una nueva historia comienza.

Un poco mas de la historia
Carl "CJ" Johnson (1971 - ?) es un personaje de la saga GTA que aparece como protagonista en Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas y mencionado en Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.
Carl es obligado a regresar de Liberty City tras la muerte de su madre En 1987, cinco años antes de empezar la trama de GTA: San Andreas, CJ huyó a Liberty City tras la muerte de su hermano Brian, de la cual él tuvo, aparentemente, la culpa.Carl retorna a San Andreas cuando se entera de que su madre ha muerto. Nada más regresar es recibido por Frank Tenpenny, Eddie Pulaski y Jimmy Hernández, tres policías corruptos.
luego al transcurso del juego cj quiere encontrar a los que mataron a su madre,y logra encontrar a los asesinos ( Ryder,Smoke), cuando smoke esta por morir le dice "Esto no acaba aqui cj "

Carl "CJ" Johnson (? 1971 -) is a character in the GTA series that appears as the protagonist in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and mentioned in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.
Carl is forced to return to Liberty City after the death of his mother in 1987, five years before starting the plot of GTA: San Andreas, CJ fled to Liberty City after the death of his brother Brian, of which he had apparently the culpa.Carl returns to San Andreas when he learns that his mother has died.
