Grimey mod for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

Our Mission Statement:

We would like to enhance game play while bringing recognition to talented hobbyists from the modding community. We selected Quake Wars for this mod because, it's existing objective driven game play and large area maps would make for the easiest conversion to accommodate our new form of game play.

We are currently looking for a coder to help us with a basic playable demo that would include the incorporation of 1 death match player and 1 working pawnshop into the existing game. Game Synopsis:

Grimey is a violent, gritty, crime driven, street style, multiplayer, first person shooter, that takes place in urban neighborhood styled environments. Gamers have the option to play as any one of the 7 overlapping game type characters.

The Characters:

• Police - Team A is an Objective Driven Team: They must build, destroy, steal, and hack objectives while trying to stop Team B

• Gang - Team B - Objective Driven Team: They must build, destroy, steal, and hack objectives while trying to stop Team A

• Thug - Independent, Frag Limit Player

• Dog - Independent, Melee only, Frag Limit Player




• Pimp - Independent, Cash Limit Player




• Crack Head- Independent, Cash & Frag Limit Player

• Pigeon - spectator who get to fly around the map and poop on people.

The Gameplay:

This hybrid game type of overlapping characters ensures action filled game play regardless of how few or many players are on a given server. Gamers will have the options of playing as an independent, or joining one of the two main teams. Because all of their objectives overlap, there will always be unique game play dependent on which characters are chosen by the gamers. The game will also feature many well known weapons along with many great new ways of mutilating and annoying your fellow gamers.

Pawn shops play an important role in Grimey's game play. Pawn shops allow users to purchase important extra items in game as well as allow characters to make deposits in their respective accounts. The main importance for having pawnshops is so that players may sell/pawn items they have stolen in game. As a Death Match player or Cash Limit player you would normally have no use for most of the highly important game objects like flags, explosives or stolen documents. The Pawn Shop however will pay you good money for these stolen objects allowing you to add more money to your account. This extra money can go towards helping you reach your cash limit or to help you purchase extra weapons, additional ammunition, health packs, body armor, and powerups.
