Keep it like that in Normal (weapons and ammo/health pickups glow) In Easy though, put a glow on objectives as well. Then in Hardcore allow no glows at all.

In the Easy and Normal difficulties allow the glow to be turned off, for people who just want easier enemies.

That's a really nice effect. I do agree with Lockdown, though.

Most things have already been said. A very good idea for those who don't see all the items and interactibles right away. The option to manually have it on or off is technically enough already. If people wanna play on normal and have it off still, well... then they will just turn it off either way.

But in the end, I shall also go with what Sir Lockdown said:

"In the Easy and Normal difficulties allow the glow to be turned off, for people who just want easier enemies."

But on difficulties higher then that.. No glow, no mercy >)

I think binding the glow to a hotkey so you could turn it on or off on the fly is the way to go.

Neat, me gusta. Two ideas i want to add:
Restrict this effect to the different difficulty-levels. (like suggested above me)

Or

Let this effect only flare up, when the player is low on health or ammo.

personaly i never like this kind of futures in games, its to easy to find stuff. but, that is personal. a lot of people will like it, whatever difficulty it is in. so, when you add it then please do so that the player can turn it on and off when ever he likes.

that said, it does look great, and make ammo and health stand out emidiatly. nice future!!

I think you should only allow it when playing in Easy mode, because with this effect, the items are way too easy to find...
Also, it doesn't look realistic at all.

I want to use glow only for small items like pistol and smg clips what is hard to see in dark places, and of course only from close range like 2-3 yards. Making the puzzle items glow sounds very bad for me. I don't want the players to run through the whole mod in 10min because everything is glowing, obvious and easy.

Nice, reminds me of L4D, although the red glow is much more fitting in this case.

have the glow as an option, I like when games give the player the choice of having things be on/off or customizable

Description

We could go multiple ways with this and we want to get your opinion on it in the comments.

At the moment in Normal difficulty weapons and ammo glow. Objectives don't. The player can manually turn the glow off if they want but in Hardcore it is entirely off.

We could make this glow also off by default in Normal and just allow the player to turn it on if they get stuck. We would likely have objectives glow too if we did this.

What do you guys think? There are countless directions we could go with this, including getting rid of it entirely!
