Gothic 2 - Requiem features a whole new weapon skill system, new forging system, new quests, new characters, new textures, new weapons and armor, improved AI, new & tweaked monsters and much much more!
Took a REALLY long time, but I AM DONE modifying militia/paladin armors.
I wanted to thank GothicManiac for the helpful insight over design and aesthetics. I'm really satisfied with the results, and a video is uploading as I'm writing this.
GothicManiac: Sorry mate but I couldn't manage to replicate the armors, hope that you're fine with these :)
Vic7im You're welcome m8! I was happy to help you any way i could!
Allow me just to make some observations: 1st, Do not use that helm on Wulfgar cause by no means can fit the medieval style of the armor he wears and the game in general. That's a Roman styled helm. In the mods i gave you there is a helm design for that set which has open face and can see the named npc's face.
2nd, About Lord Haagen's set, as i've told you in the past, i love what you did but personally i would prefer to have steel textures in all parts instead of that red colour. Too fancy..))And ofc, helms on to all knight pala npc's, like in vanilla game.
p.s. Too bad you were not able to replicate those armors but again, what you have is amazing too and ofc i'm fine with that! Ofcourse the case here was never for me to be happy, but for you to have the best possible result! :) What about the weapons and shields? You were not able to use them either?
Let me correct you on one thing @[GothicManiac](members:gothicmaniac:3018010) not a big thing its a tiny thing really. In the vanilla knights had no helmets those were chain mail hoods.Ofcourse knights with out any helmet can be weird at first but i prefer it that way honestly. They no imidate danger so you can explain it that way they don't need it at the moment.
fint By helms on knights, i mean those chainmail hoods. let's not play with words but yes, if we wanna be 100% accurate, you're right.
Now, about if they must have them or not, let's not take away from that order that nice heavy look they originally have.
PB made several mistakes, when it comes to realism about specific things, which they could easilly avoid. Non helms on npcs is 1 of them! We see all melee npcs (except Pala-Knights) with out any kind of head protection! As i've said in the past, if there is something you wanna protect first, that's your head, in old and modern warfare aswell! So, mods like this is a great opportunity to fix, among others, mistakes like this one.
In old games like Gothic 2, if we trully love them we must point out any flaws and try to improve them via mods, and not just because of some pointless nostalgia maintain them!
At least, that's my point of view, and any kind of suggestions i've made to Vic7im, with great respect for his efforts, followed this direction.

Vic7im Btw, on Wulfgar's set (from W2), what's that weird thing behind boots? Remove it if you can. Where you got those sets from? Another mod that used W2 armors?
Supercool!
I love it, you made perfect choices for them.
