Gothic 2 - Requiem features a whole new weapon skill system, new forging system, new quests, new characters, new textures, new weapons and armor, improved AI, new & tweaked monsters and much much more!
Ahoy landlubbers!
I'm having quite some trouble trying to work on the mod on my own, mostly because I don't have time to do all the things that I would like/love to add. A BIG thing are QUESTS.
I need help. Seriosuly, It's getting overwhelming here doing all the stuff alone.
But Vic7im, how can we help you???
Well it's quite simple. I've found a little program called Easy Dialog Maker (EDM from now on) that hastens the whole questing process by a LOT. The only problem is that (big surprise) I don't have time to sit down and work not even for an hour straight on this mod (not at the moment, at least).
That's why I'm doing tutorial videos on how to use this program along with an english translation of the EDM itself to make quest creation as easy as eating a potato chip.
That's when you, reader, come in.
I'm looking for people that know how to TYPE ON A KEYBOARD and FOLLOW VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS.
No programming knowledge needed, just some time to spare, the love for Gothic and this mod, and the CREATIVITY to create unique dialogues "a la Gothic", following your quest ideas or mine (got almost 50 quests done "on paper" that need dialogues)
I can't stress enough how HUGE your contributions will be with just a few minutes of your time. I'll be posting a tutorial video shortly showing how easy is to create a simple "fetch this Item for me" Quest.
Contact me in PM for more informations, questions etc.
Peace, Vic7im
All these squares make a circle, all these squares make a circle
Currently working on dual wield animations to have them use the shield slot instead of the crossbow slot.
Blender is fun!
Glad to see you're back on it, can't wait for results mate.
Same!
Hopefully I'll manage to cook a gameplay only version by the end of the year, then start working on quests and the story while balancing the gameplay version.
Fingers crossed!

can't wait :>
Happy to see you still working with this wonderful game, hope to see your mod out soo.
Quickened the ready animation for spells so NPC mages can quickly swap spells without having to do the whole PRAISE THE SUN animation back and forth.
Same goes for the player.
Edit:
Readded G1 unskilled animation (no more flailing around)
Readded G1 "try to get up" when wounded animations with full functionality
Tweaked female body textures and proportions to match earthly people
WIP: Assassination without gimmicks (using a new animation)
Requiem is alive PogChamp
Hey Vic7im are you still working on the mod? I hope it will be released some day.
I think he's busy with his uni atm.
It's been a while since I checked here, and as I can see everything gone to hell. I followed this mod for few years, and did what I could to help it improve one way or another (remember testing versions of the mod and then giving feedback on the forum? Good times). Anyways, I understand you Vic and your decision, you're very creative person with know-how, hope you won't waste your talent in the future. And just saying, if one day Requiem will be out I'll surely play the **** out of it.
Cheers mate, and good luck.
It will, best wishes mate, good luck to you too! :)
I'll be honest, I kinda expected a tougher skin out of someone who uses "Guts" as his profile image. Look, I get it, because act entitled sometimes when they see something free and they dont work for it. But the fact that you started to throw a hissy fit, just like Griffith "my kingdom my kingdom!!!! waaah", because some people acted just like expected, makes me sad. I've been following this mod silently since 2015, I lack all the skills required to code and create mods, otherwise I would have offered my help, but seeing that you decided to take the mod down in a crying wave, takes the respect out of you.
Its a mayor insult to the countless people who were following and supporting you in one way or the other. If it was too hard to take it, you could have asked for someone to be your PR.
You got the wrong idea, the mod was already taken down before the hissy fit. The version that was uploaded on this site was buggy to say the least and didn't represent what I was working on "under the hood", so to speak.
Since I kept getting personal messages asking for help because of how buggy that was, I decided to take it down, because it was mostly BAD PUBLICITY.
Then the "hissy fit" happened, and everyone knows the rest of the story. There's a time for being patient and shrug the negative stuff off, but that wasnt' the time for me. I reached the breaking point and vented, carelessly, but to make things clear. I know that I've lost much respect and many supporters because of this, but people need to understand that there are people LIKE THEM behind monitors doing what they can whenever they want to in order to create a decent product for everyone to enjoy, trying to balance it with the ordinary life and goals.
People can either accept that and carry on, or can write down childish comments on a website, it's their call.
Anyway, I'm sorry that I lost your respect over therrecent events, but I fear it's misinterpretation that caused this. In any case, I still hope that you'll play my mod one day, when it will come out.
Peace.
Of course I'll play the mod if you ever finish it. Its actually the reason I'm still coming here periodically to check on its status and reinstall Gothic 2.
Let me be frank here - this dude is pouring his own free time down the ******* for you people to enjoy a huge project, a project that he has NO OBLIGATION in doing whatsoever - and you morons try to **** all over him? That's exactly the reason why it's so damn hard to do anything for you people, he's doing that for the love of Gothic II and to give players that still love that old-*** game something new to sink their teeth into.
It just makes me remember why I hate the gaming community sometimes, bunch of spoiled brats you are.
Keep doing what you're doing bro and let those people talk. I would love to write some quests for you, if you still need the help :) Hit me up.

Vic7im, i dont think you lost the respect of anyone here, especially from those that really want to see this project finished! It's just that ppl like myself waited for years to see this amazing work of yours, and watching you saying that you will not continue cause of some... you know... felt kinda weird... My thought was "why not take in mind all of us, that love his work!?", nothing else, no disrespectful thinking at all! As you said, modders spend valuable time to create something that others will use for free! We all have our lifes and we understand that time is valuable, and the daily stress can "break" even the strongest of us, thus i do not agree with the comment federicotobaldo made about your profile image, it was at least unfortunate...! Afterall, we are humans, not machines!
Anyway, i will keep what you said "In any case, I still hope that you'll play my mod one day, when it will come out" with the hope that you will finish it. :)
