Gothic 2 - Requiem features a whole new weapon skill system, new forging system, new quests, new characters, new textures, new weapons and armor, improved AI, new & tweaked monsters and much much more!
Ahoy landlubbers!
I'm having quite some trouble trying to work on the mod on my own, mostly because I don't have time to do all the things that I would like/love to add. A BIG thing are QUESTS.
I need help. Seriosuly, It's getting overwhelming here doing all the stuff alone.
But Vic7im, how can we help you???
Well it's quite simple. I've found a little program called Easy Dialog Maker (EDM from now on) that hastens the whole questing process by a LOT. The only problem is that (big surprise) I don't have time to sit down and work not even for an hour straight on this mod (not at the moment, at least).
That's why I'm doing tutorial videos on how to use this program along with an english translation of the EDM itself to make quest creation as easy as eating a potato chip.
That's when you, reader, come in.
I'm looking for people that know how to TYPE ON A KEYBOARD and FOLLOW VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS.
No programming knowledge needed, just some time to spare, the love for Gothic and this mod, and the CREATIVITY to create unique dialogues "a la Gothic", following your quest ideas or mine (got almost 50 quests done "on paper" that need dialogues)
I can't stress enough how HUGE your contributions will be with just a few minutes of your time. I'll be posting a tutorial video shortly showing how easy is to create a simple "fetch this Item for me" Quest.
Contact me in PM for more informations, questions etc.
Peace, Vic7im

So this is finally goodbye I guess... You should have said something. Some of us patiently waited and supported this mod half a decade. Hope you are well and hope that you will be coming back. And to all the good people commenting along the years, take care!
Yes, I hope the history of Khorinis and the chronicles of Myrtana mods and sailors of the storm might inspire him to focus a bit more in gothic modding.
Alas modding is time consuming, life is short and gothic is getting older and older and most important he did not have enough support.
But the good news is that these years are good for gothic community because great mods(total conversion) are going to be released!
Thats why you should work in a group, fixing all this bugs alone must be a nightmare, too bad it was the only gothic mod that I cared about.
It died, no suprise.

Remember when you had that little fight with him back in 2018 and he said that the mod will be releasing for sure? I'm saddened it didn't happened.
Looks like they might remaster the whole series before this comes out.
I hope we will get Elden Ring/Bannerlord or This mod before release of Gothic remake. That playable teaser looks so **** it makes me feel very bad.
Ye I've played it. Full of explosions and cinematics every 1 minute. I got bored talking to 'Diego' which doesn't feel like the Diego we know. The whole game doesn't feel or look like Gothic nor do the characters.
The combat is easy and is a straight rip off from for honor.
The dialogue is horrendous just like the writing and it gets boring fast especially since you can't even skip it.
But if it's just a demo just to see if people would be interested in a remake and not what the game will actually look/feel like then I hope they will give it a serious go.
Scrap the whole demo and start over, and serious this time.
We have Ninja 2.0 now, which works for Gothic 1 & 2. That means you can take Free Aiming out of your mod. The new patch for free aiming offers even more ingame-options than the script packet for mods.
Ninja 2.0:
Forum.worldofplayers.de
Ninja 2.0 and its patches don't need Systempack and don't affect performance of the game!
Patches:
If not stated else, all of them work in Gothic 1 and in Gothic 2.
- Manaregeneration:
Forum.worldofplayers.deür-alle
Is individual customizable.
- Free Aiming:

- Categorized Inventory (for Gothic 2):

- First Mage Kit:
Forum.worldofplayers.de
Adds unlockscrolls to the world and the scroll-trader-inventories and a rune to the heros inventory, which lets you exchange lifepoints for mana.
- No Underwater Effects:
Forum.worldofplayers.de
Disables underwater effects for better sight.
- PickLockHelper (I couldn't start Dark Mysteries (Gothic 1 Mod) because of that patch)
Forum.worldofplayers.de
Shows the already tried right-left-...-combination, when picking locks.
- Trader Weapons Fix:
Forum.worldofplayers.deändlerwaffen-Fix-Trader-Weapon-Fix
Traders don't wear the best weapons on their own after trading anymore.
- others are in work (I guess)
