Leon Degrelle is a Belgian politician and the leader of the Rexist Party of Belgium.
Historically, Leon Degrelle founded the Rexist party in 1935, based on the writings of Jean Denis. However, in 1944, Leon Degrelle and the Rexist Party were banned from Belgium. Many activists of the Rexist Party were arrested, and Leon was sentenced to death. However, before he could be, he fled to Spain. When Belgium asked for extradition from Spain, General Francisco Franco refused, and he lived out his life in Spain.
