Nice revamp of the parking lot scene, maybe you could add some Xen presence in the distance, make it look like it's taking place around the 7 hour war?
I will probably add combine rather than xen presence because portal 1 takes place around 2010 and the seven hour war was in the early 2000s.
I thought that Portal 1 was a Half-Life 1 prequel? But wait, the computers are too high-tech for before 1998. Hmm.
Connecting Portal to Half-Life would be awesome. :)
