this mod... it once had a target, but now, it is pieces after my data transfer from my old computer went awry. so, right now, it is scattered all over my computer. but, this summer, it seems like i did a few fixes. so, once i make a clear image for this mod, i will also write a proper description.
right, so here is my newest creation... the Amaterasu cannon... though i might name it "Amaterasu Temple" instead, as, when undeployed, it looks like a japanese temple.
so, seeing what you've seen so far, is this faction going to be a japanese faction? not so. it will have japanese influence, but i mixed in something else.
and, you might notice, it bears some resemblance to SWR's Gaia Cannon.
and there are, but it was not intentional. in fact, after i finished the model, i edited it so it won't be so similar, including the original bracing of the cannon barrel, which, in my paper-drawn concept, is nearly identical to that of the gaia.
that said, it is also very different; the gaia being an earthshaker and a chinese temple, while the ameratsu is a uhm... i will let you guess, and a japanese shrine.
and don't flame me things like "you stole swr's work" and "you stole their concepts!"
because i did not.
in truth, i have not even played SHW or browsed SWR's contents for nearly a year before i sketched this out and completely forgot about the gaia cannon, i, having remembered it only after making the model, when i thought "i've seen this before".
so, i guess you can call it convergent evolution?
