After establishing of the Soviet Union in 2017, new government initiated contracts to all military industry facilities which aim was to build modern and powerful army. In short time a new MBT was created by Uralwagonzavod. New tank T90M2 was called "Tagil" named after city, where tank factory is located.
This tank has conservative construction consists of 6-roller chassis, diesel engine, habitable turret with 125mm smoothbore maingun and remote control machinegun.
New MBT exceeds it's predecessor T-90A by many parameters, mainly by durability and firepower. Smoothbore cannon allows to use standard armor-piercing shells and ATGM Reflex, which does significant damage and has longer range, but has longer reload time.
To improves it's durabilitybut T90M2 can be upgraded by new Relict ERA kit, which also gains resistance to anti-armor weapon types.
Firepower of T90M2 can be improved even more by installing gauss-accelerator that increases damage and slightly increases range.
