Galaxy At War - Clone Wars is a total conversion mod for the Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption 2006 real-time strategy that brings us the Clone Wars galactic conflict
Hi guys, I decided to make an animation for the V-19 "Torrent". When the stabilizer is up, it increases the accuracy of guns, but the speed is reduced.
Do you like this idea?
Wonderfull job! But in TCW we haven't see the v-19 have this type of flying method just the original. The only time v-19 has his wings closed is when it is in a republic cruser. So I don't know if this is cannon. But anyway great job!
No, this animation isn't cannon, but I think it's small and cool addition. It's WIP, of course, but if you guys like it, we'll add it to the final version :)
As you said it is a very cool addition and gives an extra advantage to this ordinary starfighter. So let the funs vote if they want this addition to the mod!
It's kinda like an assault mode for the starship.
I can see it's value when doing strafing runs on planets and so forth.
In space combat maneuverability and speed are a must though.
If only it had missiles... Will the V-19 have missiles? I remember in the old 2000's show on cartoon network they did. In which case this "assault mode" for the ship could be useful for assaulting space stations and so forth. It allows to lay down more ordnance on the target in one run.
Well, the missiles are very possible if they don't affect the balancing too much
I don't like at all, i don't think this little starfighter is able to have an assault mode and be more powerful
Add torpedos as the 2000 CW show only
It's my opinion, beware of you karma troll
This configuration doesn't make any sense because of the engine exhaust being turned forward.
And yup, the torpedoes from the superior CW show would definitely be great!
I personally don't like it that much either, but because these starfighters always felt a little bit more vulnerable and desperate against the CIS, which is how the beginning of the Clone Wars should feel for the Republic.
Cause they were hopelessly outnumbered, not cause they were trash!
True! But also they weren't the best to begin with. The Republic was largely supposed to be unprepared for the war and at a set disadvantage but then gain a superiority towards the end, which gives the Separatists an early game rush advantage and late game disadvantage.
Guys, thank you for the opinions, they are really helpfull and important!
Indeed. Good idea.
