--Description (taken from Planet Half-Life)--
One of the nice things about the Half-Life mod community is that we've seen a heavy spread of mods that cover almost every influence and aspect of FPS gaming. We've got military-themed mods for multiple time periods, futuristic, medieval and even mods with supernatural or surreal settings. Adding to the diversity of the available themes is Gangsta Wars. If you've ever played Kingpin, you should have some idea of the general influence at work. Aside from merely weapons and models, however, Gangsta Wars brings a nice mix of gameplay modes to really stand out from the crowd. In addition, whether you're like a more modern, Kingpin-style game, want to do the whole mafia thing or enjoy the prohibition-era feel, Gangsta Wars can accommodate you. While you can't be exclusive about such things, there's enough of each in the mod that you'll find your specific tastes nicely satisfied.
First and foremost, the first thing you'll want to do when you get into a server is to verify what the current gameplay mode is. Since the mode is determined by the map, you should have a good idea going in, but be ready for sudden switches. Deathmatch and Team DM are pretty standard and are signified by the "gw" map prefix. Capture the Stash ("cts" prefix) is a free-for-all gameplay mode not unlike Holy Wars; there is a briefcase on the level that helps keep the holder alive and gives that player points; the idea is to hold the briefcase for as long as possible. You also get a random assortment of weapons to start. Protect the Don ("don") works like the "Hunted" level in TFC, except that each team has a leader to protect, the leader is not helpless and leadership is assigned to a random player each time. Also, weapons are bought at the arms dealer that each team has with money, similar to Counter-strike. Lastly, GangBang ("gb") is an arena-like "last man standing" mode where you select your weapons from the start. One variant gives each player a certain number of lives, set by the server, while the other doesn't allow you any extra lives.

---Installation---
Extract the folder named "gangstawars" from the zip file to wherever your Half-Life installation is (for Steam, it's C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\\half-life)
You can find more information on this mod in the game manual, located in the folder named "Manual."
--Note on Team Deathmatch--
Team deathmatch seems to only work on the WON version of Half-Life.

Wow I sort of remember this... quite fun back in the day with some friends.
The guys behind the mod were pretty good, this was their first mod and their first models (made in Milkshape 3D)
Look at all the other mods today, almost copy-pasted crap, with maps that look like ****. Im wodering what they do today.
Dude that's hardcore, Milkshake 3D Is VERY Hard, that's why I can't make a mod lol cause I need people to help me with it...:P
Its not hard, just very basic, so youll have to put more effort to get quality models.
