Age of Empires III: Galactic Conflict is a non-commercial, fan-based Star Wars themed mod under construction for Ensemble’s Studios Age of Empires III, drawing inspiration from several star wars games such as Galactic Battlegrounds, Force Commander and Empire at War, AoE3: GC aims to bring the star wars universe to the great RTS game of Age of Empires III.
The Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Separatist Alliance or just simply - the Confederacy was a collection of thousands of star-systems and regional sectors who declared their independence from the Galactic Republic, amidst the Separatist Crisis.
Unavailable to pay the outrageous taxation of the Republic, and sickened by the corruption and the inefectiveness of the Senate, star-systems secceded the Republic to the Confederacy - publicly lead by Count Dooku, of Serenno, a great Jedi Master who departured the Order due to philosophical disputes with the Jedi Council over the idleness on the Republic's degradation.
Dooku, however, secretly became a Dark Lord of the Sith, under Darth Sidious, his master of whom he shared a vision o peace and prosperity in a new Order under the Sith. Together, the two Sith Lords put forth the late Darth Bane's plan: The Revenge of the Sith, a scheme that plotted the end of the Sith's sworn enemies: The Republic and the Jedi Order.
Dooku was given the role as head-of-state of the Confederacy, and at his master's command, waged war against the Republic, weakening both Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic.
The Confederacy was backed by mega-corporations, who too were under the thumb of the Sith. Corporations such as the Trade Federation and the Banking Clan gave the Separatist State enough credits for them to create the biggest expandable army of galactic history - the Separatist Droid Army.
The SDA was commanded by the Supreme Commander of the Droid Armies, a title previously held by Sev'rance Tann, Dooku's dark aprentice who perished early on the war. The title was then given to Grievous, a cyborg General, and a former Kaleesh warlord.
The conflict escalated to a total war, and soon all resources from both factions were used for the war. At its height, the Confederacy invaded the Republic capital world of Coruscant. But the campaign proved a failure as Dooku was killed, and the CIS, headless, was routed back to the Outer Rim.

I chose the four main ones: Trade Federation, the Banking Clan, Techno Union and the Commerce Guild.
Though all of this is subject to change, if needed.

Will we have brown/beige tanks like on Naboo too?
The tank is a in-game render in the Aoe 3 engine?
