GTX is a graphic mod developed for Doom3 and Quake4 that enhance the game experience with
new graphic effects never seen before in the game. This is the profile page of GTX for Doom 3.
GTX is projected to run on the standard (vanilla) campaign of Doom3 and on custom SP/MP maps, also, it doesn't use a custom interaction.vfp so you can combine GTX with other graphic mod like the Parallax mapping mod or the Brilliant highlights mod (both not included into GTX) or others.
There are two main editions of GTX, GTX for Doom3 (G T X D3) and GTX for Quake4 (G T X Q4), I'm looking for a Linux and/or Mac OS X source code compiler, if you are interested in it send me an email ;)

I'll upload screenshots and downloads of GTX for Doom3 here as soon as the moddb.com download system returns to works perfectly (currently I can't delete any download from a profile page). Until it, all downloads of GTX D3 will be availaeble in the GTX Q4 downloads area, here: Moddb.com
Also, the GTX Q4 profile page will change its url from the actual Moddb.com to Moddb.com in a couple of week.
An update to the official mod website is also scheduled for the end of the year.

I have only one thing to say. GTX was first mod that actually worked with my Doom3 without any minor bugs (and without crash to desktop on top of it). In two words: GTX rocks!! Will there by any new versions in the future?

Wow, after hearing that the gtx2 mod won't be released I'm very pleased to find this.
I wonder, will it work with the 'Classic' Doom mod to, the one with the original game converted for D3.

Exactly? I don't know. I lost part of the source code years ago, I have to rewrite everything to make GTX compatible with the latest patch.
Hi, have you found someone who ports this great mod to linux? i have added the pak files for roe in my d3xp directory but i see some graphical glitches i.e. corrupt muzzle fire.
Hello, no, unfortunally I haven't found yet someone who can compile the mod for Linux, it would be good to compile also GTX Q4 (GTX for Quake 4) for linux.
For the d3xp bug, if you are using "GTX D3 Beta 1.5 for Doom 3 v1.3 (Win\Mac)", I'm afraid but this version was not developed to work with RoE, so this is probably the reason of glitches.
The graphics looks great! But why everything is so jaggy?
Uhm, maybe it's because of the parallax mapping, but I did not noticed a "jags" effect
This mod looks great but it wont work on Doom3 1.3.1 I think you need to update it.
Actually I'm unable to release an udated version of the mod, but, it's sure that the final version of GTX will support Doom3 v1.3.1.
Thankyou and this looks amazing, will you be adding any more speculars to some of the monsters, make them look a little more dirty and slimy?
Thanks, currently there are no "sure" plans about an update of the mod, becouse I'm involved in a big project that keep me a bit busy, so I hope to continue the development of GTX D3 but I'm not sure about what I'll adds and when it will be ready to be published.
