Freeworlds: Tides of War is a fan built Star Wars total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released several years ago. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. Freeworlds and Tides of War were the answer to this outcry. The development team of both mods have now joined forces to create an epic new Star Wars TC, Freeworlds: Tides of War.

Is there any chance that death animations with ships breaking into peaces are build in, in future releases.
There is a definitely possibility, it just requires a lot of work.
i find the xwing cockpit too close to the dashboard, can you make an option to select your FoV?

Was this vid made using an ATI gpu? I've got 2 Nvidia systems and some of the vids and pics look a little different lighting wise than on mine. It's got me curious as usual.

I don't want to try this, because I know if it doesn't take 3 proton torpedoes to destroy each SD shield generator, it's not going to feel right.
It takes 3 proton torpodeos to destroy shield generators and powercores on capitals.
Looks fantastic, nice job guys. Getting a really solid feeling of scale from that.

was that the original fleet battle @ 2:00? if so: i think that was my missile salvo coming out of the '30 hitting the Strike-class cruiser :D

it was actualy one of my only sucessful salvos though, those missiles are hard to get on-target in the middle of a fight

That was the first Event Battle...right? Ahh. I remember....I was on Empire side. I had a Neb-B, but our plan was ****. It was just. Fly into them. The biggest ship at first.....and than we lost our ISD in 20 seconds.....After the Crash....We finally tryed to make a plan. only with 4 Strike Cruisers, 2 Drednaughts and 2 Neb-B we have destroyed the MC90. RSS Souverin...(have i wrote the name right?) OK...but that was all....we lost. We have 2 ISD. but they are so easy to kill.

To be exact, most of the film was actually taken during the second event battle of april 28. But:
- from 0:17 to 0:45 and 1:33 to 2:07 are images of the first event battle of april 21.
- from 3:01 to 3:26, I fight alone against two NPC ISD... which is totally suicidal :D
I destroyed the Corellian destroyer with the Empire, The rest of the time I was a spectator. F*****g AI. I wanted to be with New Republic... Finally I was with the Empire.
I think ships move too jerky then they change their bearing.
It just looks odd.
Anyway it was epic.
Agreed. Sadly, this is a problem with FL. That said one of our developers, W0dk4, was going to look into the netcode to see if it can be improved.
AWESOME is all I can say, now where the heck did I put my freelancer CD's *goes to through the house like a hurricane*
