Almost all of our updates on our ModDB page have been about the New Republic and Galactic Empire space vessels. While these two factions will be the backbone of the mod, we felt that we needed to pay some well deserved attention to Corellian and Hutt factions. Fortunately, we've been able to tweak, and in some cases completely redesign, both factions respective fleets. So, over the next few weeks, I will be releasing images, and in the last update a video, of these two factions that will be pitted against each other in the the Freeworlds: Tides of War mod.
We've had the great fortune of receiving the EvilleJedi Corellian Capital model set. With these models to serve as our base, IceWolf has single-handled sculpted to Corellian Fleet to the awesomeness you will see below. A big thanks goes out to him, his talent and patience designing this fleet.

Ya, it's been in the mod for quite some time and it's pretty much on every factions shiplist (even Civilians). Here's a video of it Youtube.com go to 1 minute in to see it in action :)
amazing work! The anticipation for this mod is getting unbearable :D
A good news for me, because I thought only a few capital and mid-sized ships would be integrated in the game, since I always saw the same ISD's, Nebulon B's and MC80's fighting each other. But this article teaches me that I was wrong, because if you take 5 (6) correlian ships into the game, there must be at least the same number of each rebellian and imperial ships - actually, there will be even more I presume.
One question to the graphics: You said that some coders were mounting the engine on DirectX 9-level. Which will be the actual effects? Will you be able to put shaders on the outer shell of ships in order to make them look more three-dimensional?
We're hoping to put in shaders as well as bump mapping :)
Hi, I just registered for the chance to post a comment to say: kudos on the Corellian Destroyer design! Love it! I've always been biased towards the KDY ships, but that Destroyer has to be one of the neatest ships I've seen in ages! Have it as my phone screensaver! ;) Would love some specs on the beauty please?
