STORY:
Without any warning you are ripped from your mundane existence and teleported into a room where you greeted by what you can clearly see, is not human.
Your name is 'Wolf'. You are given special abilities to help you survive impossible odds and forced to take up arms using highly advanced human and hybrid/human weaponry against an unwanted enemy.
Trapped on an island created by the secret 'Unified Government of Nations ' (UGN), you must overcome your initial fear and help a alien scientist known as 'Mage' alert the UGN that the island and it's now functional portal is now compromised.
...If things weren't hard enough. Your abilities are having adverse effects on your body and now time is slowly winding down against you. You must find a cure, and quickly before your unstable abilities that you possess kill you.
Work with Mage, go against everything you know about humanity, and fight for your life.

- This is going to be a full game campaign with original story (not a short one either).
- Large amount of custom made structural and foliage props and locations.

- New type game-play experiences in typical game environments.
- Compelling, dynamic and original story telling (heavily story orientated, an intriguing voice cast and multiple player choices)
- Present day realism of look, feel and flow of game. A fluent co-existence with the environment, to the weapons animation, player abilities, npcs and sound etc.
We coming up with some pretty exciting things, and we can’t wait to show off what we are doing.

The gameplay and the story sounds pretty much like Half-Life apart from the abilities.
Your comment is justified. It has aliens, a secret government facility and a portal. I can name many other games with the same deal.
However I can assure you, game-play and story will differ significantly from Half-life. The Game Design Document which we have formulated has been uniquely designed for a new experience in what is a typical game environment.

How will this manifest in game?
Also, this seems like just a pretty standard first person shooter. Is this just a run and shoot game or is there more to it?
The dev maps look amazing in the video!
Without revealing to much, the abilities will at times not work, you will become highly vulnerable to attacks, possible body seizures, possible vision impairment (but nothing to drastic as to **** off the player). Half of it will tie into cinematic sequences.
Your right about run and shoot, but there will be puzzles, practical ones. Ones that hopefully wont take away from the desired pace of the game. but there are environments and areas where it will be important to approach with strategy, stealth and a good ear will come into play.
Also the Dev maps are heavily outdated. The maps being created now are without a doubt going to impress.
