Already fixed in the current version ;)

Keep in mind, however, that Nexus adjusts the size of the engine flare based on its current power level... if the engine is only operating with 50% power, it'll expose the back quite a bit. In Freespace the engines are always lit, I believe, no matter if the ship is actually moving or not.

As it probably should be concerning how things that dont correct their position every now and then are pulled to any of the closest objects or maintain a speed of orbit.
Speeking about engines tho, could u possibly use the chem engine FX from the nexus. I know its not hc FS, but I dont think that you should just convert it. Maybe its better to use the best both games have to offer? At least doing an engine trail would be very much apreciated.
