Hello and Welcome to the release of Forgotten Hope 2.4! We have for you today the password for the pre-release torrent files and the download link to the regular installer that you've all been waiting for.
Please note! When launching 2.4 for the first time, you will need to "retrieve account" or, if you wish, create a new one. This is due to changes we've made to ensure less problems with shaders and make Forgotten Hope 2 compatible with Steam. If you have any troubles because of this, take a look at our User Manual for troubleshooting.

so i guess that the new maps for fh2 2.4 are only for multiplayer? no singleplayer bot support?
Meuse River and Eppeldorf have bot support, Hurtgen, Vossenack and Bastogne do not.
Now I can finally scalp some Nazis in the Hurtgen Forest! Etcha Ney!

What? EA didn't make this mod. the forgotten hope Devs did.
Well i was talking at the login servers because i read that the "Server refused connection" error was from that, but now i believe that it was because my internet was slowed down to the point where it froze the game and i had to use task manager to close it. Also had a ton of fun playing 2.4 today.
I don't think EA is working on a patch 1.6 to be honest. EA most likely declared BF2 ''End of life'' meaning no updates or further development, but keeps the main servers running to prevent angry mobs from attacking their HQ:P. EA has most likely every single soul working on BF3, well not EA but DICE and well DICE may be a part of EA but I'd like to think that they aren't as rotten as EA is:)

I'm getting a box popping up when I click on the shortcut saying NovintHFX.dll is missing?
i have the same problem. :/ sorry to throw a wrench in the gears of an otherwise perfect mod.
Update it to patch 1.5 and it will work.
Now I have yet another problem, maps will simply not load, the loading bar stays at 0% and has not budged for the past 10 minutes.
Congratulations for this awesome work. You guys indeed are on top of the chain in moding this engine and for the professional work. And setting the bar to what others can and might going to do in the engine.
Cant wait to get back home and play this mod.
uhh...i literally CAN NOT get rid of FH2.3! The uninstaller is GONE and theres no traces of it. The patch dont work. and it aint even in add or remove programs! what is going on ?! please help. i dont have an account for website or i woulda put this there.
do i just delete everything?! or what? i REALLY wanna play 2.4!! and now for some reason i cant even play 2.3! i dont know whats going on!
go to your "BF2" folder inside the "mod" folder and delete "forgotten hope" folder, then just install the full version of the 2.4 version of Forgotten Hope 2

If you are trying to patch it and the installer is not making it way trough, download the full archive and avoid any headache, making a full clean install.
So, are the new maps for v2.4 like bastogne ever gonna have bot support? It doesn't really matter but I do like practicing offline sometimes. Either way, great job guys, I love fh2!

Seems like a little bug slipped into Desura release. We're working on a fix, it should come soon.
Temporary workaround to the problem is this:
1) Go to your "Play" list in Desura application
2) Select Forgotten Hope 2, right-click, select "Properities"
3) In field "User Launch Options" type "+modPath mods/fh2" (without quotes, and mind the slash, not back-slash), so it looks like this: I291.photobucket.com
4) Click "Save" and enjoy the game :)

Desura is still not working
HI, I have problem with FH2.4 on singleplayer, game crashes with no error, nothing, it just quits the game on to my destkop with no error. Like I went on quit button. help?
It also happen to me :( especially when playing with many bots..
I was all excited... got on to play, and there were about 9 people and 5 servers :(
Did you check your server filters? If you get on at an odd time there might not be many players, but even then you should be getting much more than 5 servers.

Does this fix the problems with the maps like Operation Cobra and Totalize along with many others (this typically resulted in random crashing while playing the map if that helps)

Your logotype would be much nicer if the last "e" in "hope" was an Capital "E" instead of that small one. Instead of "FORGOTTEN HOPe" you do it like this ---> "FORGOTTEN HOPE". :) Otherwise, Great mod and great work! Just a small opinion of your logo for the mod.
This has been the mod logo since it started (apart from the BF2 2 of course). It isn't something I can ever see changing. I didn't even notice that e was like that till a few weeks ago :/
Desura still is not working even with the fix mentioned here.
No matter how painstakingly carefully I enter the password I get a wrong password error as seen below:

This is just part of what's going on via the Desura console given I have to restrict its length due to the 2000 character rule, my internet is working just fine, somebody please explain why I shouldn't just abandon FH2 seeing as downloading the 3 files doesn't work because the two larger ones (1 of 3 and 2 of 3) don't respond to the password when entered, citing the above CRC reason.
Hi i installed all the parts but for some reason if i boot up Forgotten hope 2 it says that NovintHFX.DLL is missing...

I just downloaded the two parts of the FH installer. I installed the mod alright but when I run it I get the message saying NovintHFX.dll is missing! What do I do? My Battlefield 2 is patched to 1.5.
