The first Cybran Dropable Spaceship image - (F.B.P.) Orbital mod for Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance
Future Battlefield Pack: Orbital is a Standalone Modification for Supreme Commander Forged Alliance. It adds a fully new designed Orbital Techtree into the Game with AI Support, several different types of Spaceships, Orbital Structures and some other Space related Content to all Faction's. The Mod itself is currently still in WIP and will be released here, when it's ready for it.
Several of you will remember the Battleship Movie, which comes out in 2012.
But what if the cybrans have similar spaceships in Supcom as well?
Well FBP orbital will include a whole series of these spaceships for the cybrans in the future. These are escort spaceships that are mainly used in space against starfighters, bombers and many more. However, these spaceships are dropable on the water surface of a Terran planet and can be used as an Mobile Naval Weapon Platform. It is not a stationary unit, but the platform can also move like a ship. However, not in the traditional sense like a normal ship but with the help of a walk/jump animation. That Means the unit jumps on the water to a different position like the alien spaceships in the movie Battleship. On the planet, it is equipped with the so-called spike grenade launchers, which can be used against enemy naval units as well as against fortifications. In addition, there will be several tactical rocket launchers which, in addition to the primary weapon, will also provide long-range fire support. This unit will be available in the next FBP orbital Early Access update. However, as this is a series of spaceships, we will see many more with different designs, weapons, abilities and much more. Be sure to stay tuned for the other units of this starship type.
