In the mod you come across a variety of locations (including cities and space stations) instead of spending the entire duration in the confines of Black Mesa research facility.
WOW! I played this mod and completed it and it took me some time too! I really enjoyed this! And the twist at the end really made my jaw drop! Honestly!

Interesting mod with a pretty unique story. It has some nice urban / city sections that we rarely see in HL mods which was a breath of fresh air. The overall mapping quality varies, like I said I enjoyed the city sections the most but that doesn't mean the other locations are poorly made. Some maps have giant posters and magazines showing nude woman which always cracks me up when mods do that :)
I didn't enjoy the second-to-last chapter very much. Your weapons are taken away and you wander a well designed but empty spaceship with no gameplay besides pressing buttons during the first half of that section. After a while you find a gluon gun and do the same thing while gibbing enemies, it's not fun. I really like the reveal at the end of that chapter and the ending in general though. Fighting a one last fight even though you know you're doomed was cool. The cutscene after that was also both weird and a nice ending, a tribute to Freeman.
Overall, I enjoyed Fate Reversal quite a bit. It definitely feels different and in a good way too. Recommended to anyone who's looking for a medium length, story focused mod that doesn't skip action.

I liked the level transitions. Epic and grandiose; there's a real sense of adventure here.
Fast-paced, but well-paced. Had me on the edge of my chair the entire time. Excellent mapping with an aesthetic mixture of tight, frantic hallways and imaginative top-level facilities. Great use of the outside world for scale.

One of the best GldSource mods imo. It actually has a story and is a fun take on the Half Life lore.

Plot of this mod is absolutely genious.
Impressive.
An overall enjoyable modification, great mapping, decent storyline, and fun combat. The only problem I ever had with this mod was the osprey sequence. Sometimes it would not change the level after blowing up.
