Only a single player mini-mod really

Features:

- Cheaper weapons
- More effective weapon manuals
- Increase damage of weapons
- Shotguns are more accurate and have a more effective range
- Vehicles are stronger when manuals purchased, but the repair time is increased (slightly!)
- Camouflage suit is now twice as effective
- Maximum damage sustained while jumping has been halved, while minimum damage sustained has been doubled
- Cheaper manuals and utilities/equipment
- More ammunition available for hardcore/infamous players
- Far less recoil from weapons when manuals are also purchased (still needs to be controlled, but far better than Vanilla FC2!)

Just a quick update on how the mod is going

At the moment the development has slowed down, this is mainly due to files being encrypted within the archives. Whenever I've tried extracting the archives, there is always anywhere between 30-150 or so files that are unrecognizable by the archive viewer end up in a folder called "__UNKNOWN" and are named files such as 3F4BDDF8, A196AC93 and 161F995A.

While searching in the files I have, I found references to files such as "scripts/default/SpawnConfig.lua", but I have not been able to find the files that they are referenced to.

I am pretty sure that some of the files relating the spawning of the enemies are in the __Unknown sections of the archives (i.e. the un-readble files)

I have got my hands on a more up to date version of the archive unpacker and am seeing if I get any less unknown files and if I can find what we all hope!

Cheers for watching and I hope to get a new release out soon!

Hi, I've been playing FC2 for a long time now and I always wanted to use any weapon I want like in FC3, for example, assault rifle, shotgun, sniper and grenade launcher. Could you add this to your mod please? I think it would enhance the gameplay even more.

Hey Man you made a really great Mod here !

It would be nice to update it with modded weapon slots, unlock All weapons from start.

If possible allow the player to choose any 3 weapons to carry (eliminate the 3 categorys or modify them)

Thanks !

Dude... 2&5 diamonds cost isn't cheaper than 3&8 diamonds. It's more expensive.

Cheaper means less spent, not more.

I'm using the Steam version and I don't notice any difference in the weapons, nor in their cost. I installed the mod correctly, into C:\blah blah\common\far cry 2\Data_Win32, yet the Homeland 37 costs 5 diamonds, the PKM costs 15, and so on and so forth.

In fact, checking the Far Cry 2 wikia, the price of the Homeland 37 actually ROSE
Farcry.wikia.com

Any idea why this might be? Far Cry 2 is definitely up-to-date at v 1.03.

I was wondering, I just downloaded the new GOG.com version of this game -- already had it on steam, but felt obliged to buy it on GOG and never put SecuROM on my system ever again. But I digress. Im_a_lazy_sod Do you recommend using a particular version of this mod on the GOG version, or maybe should I wait for you to release a GOG version?

Cheers

I would say the direct-download version of the mod would be your best bet

If that doesn't work, I am not sure what to do from there as I am having problems with the archive packing tools (all versions) which are causing some problems with the game's menus (causing a CTD when you try to change display settings)

I have contacted the author of the mod tools but there hasn't been an update for around a year and I've had no respeonse

Bottom line, try the direct download version of the mod, if that doesn't work, send me your patch.dat and patch.fat files and I will see mod them with the settings that I have for the 1.01 version and hopefully it will work

Good luck!
