Here is the Mod file needed to get your Operation Anchorage DLC acting like the rest of my Reborn mod. Make sure you follow the instructions VERY CAREFULLY.
*DO NOT USE THE README INCLUDED IN THE .ZIP FILE! READ THE ONE BELOW, THE README'S IN THE.ZIP FILES ARE FALSE!*
BASE INSTALLATION:
Drop fallout3_reborn_v4.esp into your Fallout
3/Data folder and select fallout3_reborn_v4 from the "Data Files" menu
in the Fallout 3 Launcher.
EXPANSION PACK INSTALLATION(S):
Find the .esp's you need, named appropriatly, after the expansion pack(s)
they modify. Drop them in the same place as the fallout3_reborn_v4 file
(which is still neccessary, so make sure it's installed and running
before using the add-ons). Before you can select this mod in the "Data
Files" menu and use it, you need the actual expansion pack .bsa file.
Without these files, you'll crash to desktop if you try and start
Fallout 3. The files are called "Anchorage.bsa", "ThePitt.bsa" and
"BrokenSteel.bsa". Finding these files is difficult, it took me some
work to do, so I do not recommend trying to do this unless you have
experience with your computer's file system, or it could be possible
you already have these files. You can find these files in your
"AppData" folder hidden in you hard drive. These are hard to find, and
I cannot distribute them as I'd be pirating. Google how to find this
folder if you need to. You must navigate through the "AppData" folder
until you reach the GFWL folder and find the DLC, which are strangely
named, but are self explanatory when opened. Once you have found the
files, put them in your Data folder, but do NOT select them in your
"Data Files" Menu unless you want some wierd stuff happening to your
game (or you hacked your game because you hate Games for Windows Live).
UNINSTALLATION:
Delete the .esp file(s). This may corrupt any games running the mod, so make backups BEFORE you start playing.
WHAT THIS MOD DOES:
Makes Fallout 3 more realistic and changes the names of many items.
CRITICISM:
All
right people, I'm up to Version 4 here and have THOUSANDS of changes. I
have spent what adds up to around 4 days of work on this mod. I know
you're all going to download this mod and do one of two things: play it
for a while and not leave a comment/criticism or whine about the
documentation, readme, lack of picture/movies or some other stupid
thing. I really don't care. This mod was built soley for my enjoyment,
then a friend said I should release it to the public. You can NOT
honestly expect me to document each miniscule change for you. If you
want to do it, you are free to post a news article doing so, hell, I'll
even help you out if you need to makes sure something is correct. I
will try and put out some videos later, but I do have a life. Any
computer time have, I spend modding or playing games. You want movies,
YOU make them. You want documentation, YOU do it. This file is checked
by the Mod DB staff for viruses, so you got nothing to lose but time,
which is what you're asking me to spend doing such simple tasks any
John Doe can do. I could be modding or
having fun with friends and
family. I don't want to come across as superiour, I want to come across
as EQUAL. I spent hours and hours on this mod and then you whine
because of such little things which you could EASILY correct yourself.
I DO have a life and I have lots of REAL work to do. You do your part
and make the documentation/pictures/movies yourself. Sorry for the
rant, but I really needed to say that. What happens next is up to you.
Whether there is another version or any more support is up to you.
Don't whine, do it yourself, if there's a glitch/problem, message me
and tell me about it in a mature and detailed way.
