Despite how much there is to do in Fallout 2, parts of the game always felt incomplete or rushed. The purpose of this mod is to fill these gaps and make Fallout 2 into the game it was meant to be. This project attempts to stay true to what made Fallout 2 great and thus the new content you will find is not something I thought up or felt would be cool to include, but rather a reality of what the original Black Isle developers wanted. I read through developer comments, studied original design documents, and looked through nearly every file included in the game in the process of creating this mod. I admit I had to make some judgment calls here and there, but 90% of what you will see is something originally planned to be included in the game but was cut for whatever reason. Not only does this mod include new content, but it also includes my unofficial Fallout 2 patch which corrects 800+ bugs left in the game after the last official patch. I hope you enjoy this mod.

Description

The purpose of this project is to add back into Fallout 2 all the missing content (locations, NPCs, quests, items, etc.) that were pulled or left unfinished in the original game. This expansion attempts to stay true to what made Fallout great and thus the new content to find is not something that felt like it would be cool to see, but rather a reality of what the original developers wanted. Now updated and managed by a new mod maintainer.

Mom!!!

Why this weird guy on the Internet implies I can look up the changelog for myself, and the link to it is in the file's description?

i get an error saying it`s not a valid win32 application. i would guess it`s for 64 bit windows. anybody know how to extract the exe and install manually? UniExtract program maybe? guess i`ll go back to V1.5 for now.

You might be able to unpack the executable installer with 7 Zip program. Or try VMware to try to install it on your computer?

Also, it indeed might be not compatible with 32 bit Windows or Windows emulations, since the executable was compiled with newer versions of installer scripts.

I thought when I went to the file page I could find a readme.
Ok, maybe if I download the file I'll get a readme.
Ok, maybe if I extract the archive I'll get a readme.
Ok, maybe if I run the exe I'll get a readme.
Only after backing up my entire install and then running the installer did I finally got a readme.
This is extremely poor design and I'm amazed that anyone who'd make such an obvious mistake would be competent to create a mod. I hope you step on a lego.

You know that everything about this mod (changelog, installation, and else) is on its GitHub page, right? Or are you at -1 Perception in S.P.E.C.I.A.L.?

"Well known and famous, somehow its updated revision didn't end on ModDb for some reason"

That's because Killap, the person who made the Restoration Patch and only the author made updates to the mod, sadly no longer works here anymore. (Last online was a decade ago.)
