Remake of my Half-life 2 map from 2006, this time in mod format for Half-life 2 Episode 2 and with custom props. Compiled with HDR lighting. Non-combat mod. Exploration and some slight puzzle solving.
Remake of my Half-life 2 map from 2006, this time in mod format for Half-life 2 Episode 2 and with custom props.
Non-combat mod. Exploration only (but worth it :) )
Compiled with HDR lighting. Even though the LDR version works, I did most of the lighting adjustments and prop modifications to fit the HDR version.
You can replace the music tracks in the sound folder for other music of your choice and they will work as long as the files are still called track1 and track2 and have the proper bit rate for HL2 mp3 files.
If you find the Ep2 gnome and take a good screenshot of the map with the gnome visible in it, I'll add it to the Images section.
Enjoy the map and don't forget the concept for this amazing building dates back to the late 1930s!

Here's a gameplay video I made of this map!! Excellent work, Kaspberg, by far one of the most beautiful maps I've ever played!!
More than ten years after the original release of this map for HL2, I have finally managed to play it with with a mix of Steam VR, Virtual Desktop and an Oculus DK2.
Fallingliquid in virtual reality is certainly a different experience and one I can't recommend enough!
Some more interaction would have been nice but this looks beautiful. the source engine in the right hands can be spectacular
Steam shows Fallingliquid mod name as "MOD NAME". Caused probably by Steam Pipe update.
Still shows up as Fallingliquid in my games list. I know for a fact that some mods just register as "Half-life Ep2" to everyone else when you are playing. But I don't know if that's been fixed.
Superb map design.
Of course, being the original such an amazing place, helps. ;-)
Man, I've never seen so many bathrooms in one single house!
Oh, and it works beautifully on Mac, too!
(mine is Early 2009 iMac with Radeon HD 4850, OSX 10.6.8)
There was a notable increase of reference pictures online from the time I made the first map (2006) and this one. That's actually one of the reasons I could get into more detail with every room, including the bathrooms. But as I say in the readme, there are still some corners of the house that have never been photographed!
This is great work. Truly amazing. I made some maps for PlanetPhillip contests but nothing near this quality. Loved the Citizen Mods too.
Nice job! The image of the outside looked real the first time I saw it. Probably the best level design I've seen in Source.
Thank you so much Kasperg for releasing this mod again, I was looking forward to play it since so long!!! In fact I download the falling water one and it was a mess I couldn't even load it.
You're a god of HL2 mapping design, I LOVE YOU I don't care it sounds gay!! loll you're a genius man!
