Fall of Saigon is a Vietnam War modification for the Half-Life 2: source engine. The modification will be based in the realism of the Vietnam War, trying to portray things, events, and places as they actually were. The gameplay will also reflect as much of the realistic feeling as the development team is able to portray. The game will recreate the feeling of the jungle, or place the player in Saigon, or anywhere in between. The player will be emersed in all the sights and sounds of the jungle and will be able to use them to their advantage, and if they're not careful, it could be as dangerous as the enemy. Grab a rifle and enlist today.

One week ago, Our scouts were ambushed in a small farming village along the Mekong Delta. Today we are continuing the search for them. The jungle foliage surrounding the area is dense and difficult to navigate. Providing the Vietcong with the tactical advantage. The tall grasses and bamboo forests limit visibility and hide the enemies land mines very well. We have been forced to tread carefully. A stray ox nearly killed 3 members on our platoon when it wandered across our path and trod upon a buried explosive.

We found our missing company tied up inside a small shack. They we over joyed to see us. They had been captive there for several days in the musty darkness. The rotting thatch walls offering little protection from the elements. I cannot believe how our enemy can live in such a place. The conditions in theses tiny huts are miserable and I have come to pity our enemy.

After a long hike back through the unforgiving jungle, we have returned safely back to camp. Although it is raining outside and the enemy could be anywhere around us, today we are in high spirits and glad to be together again. The small comforts our bunks provide are a welcome change to sleeping on the ground and I'm sure it our tent feels like the Ritz for our recently rescued mates.
