Fall of Saigon is a Vietnam War modification for the Half-Life 2: source engine. The modification will be based in the realism of the Vietnam War, trying to portray things, events, and places as they actually were. The gameplay will also reflect as much of the realistic feeling as the development team is able to portray. The game will recreate the feeling of the jungle, or place the player in Saigon, or anywhere in between. The player will be emersed in all the sights and sounds of the jungle and will be able to use them to their advantage, and if they're not careful, it could be as dangerous as the enemy. Grab a rifle and enlist today.
New map in the works by Awesome possum. Taking the fight out into the rice paddies in the rural outskirts of Vietnam.
The foliage in this mod is some of the best I've seen in Source, nice work.
this does look pretty nice, would like to see some grassy mountains or something in the bg though.
You should place the plants more "chaotic". In the nature nothing grows so perfect and to line up every plant like it was done in a factory is wrong, imo.
but if they are planted by the farmers Adrian Monk and Dr. Sheldon Cooper ?
Too bright for vietnam gotta add more dark green leaves, holes and that chaotic felling that something is going start burning
Appreciate the kind words and constructive criticsm
This map is just underway, just trying to get several maps ready for Alpha. By Public Beta this map will look even better.
As for the backgrounds, some maps will have dense jungle and mountain backgrounds, some more open to vary the feel. Your just looking at one view of this map ;)
