Imagine, a Hollywood producer got his hands on the game. The result would be similar to what the Cinematic Mod is: a graphics blockbuster, redesigned to the typical game to movie adaption with an orchestral soundtrack and beautiful people everywhere.

Source Engine 2009 Trouble. Workaround for CM 10.42.

Posted by on

Currently there is a incompatibility with the latest Source Engine (Source 2009), preventing the Mod to start up. As a temporary workaround do the following:

1. Run Steam
2. Enter the Game Library then select Tools.
3. Find and Install Source SDK, Source SDK Base 2006, and Source SDK Base 2007.
4. Restart Steam

A fully ported version of CM (V. 10.90) will be available with the release of VALVE's updated SDK.

"A fully ported version of CM (V. 10.45) will be available soon."
You mean soon like this month, this year or Black Mesa soon?

It's already dependent on Valve: "A fully ported version of CM (V. 10.45) will be available when VALVE releases the updated SDK-Code."

It works you gotta put your shortcuts for the mod into steam's game library then it'll launch no problem
