Imagine, a Hollywood producer got his hands on the game. The result would be similar to what the Cinematic Mod is: a graphics blockbuster, redesigned to the typical game to movie adaption with an orchestral soundtrack and beautiful people everywhere.

Pretty.
The work is top notch for certain, but I notice in screen after screen that the lighting always suffers a great deal for the method. For a secondary goal of recasting the overall mood of the game, it works fine. If not, I think your losing a great deal of the definition of simple contrast.
I know: Doesn't anyone bother to read the summary introduction ? Yes, but still...
Seems a bit too dingy. And bring back the fluorescent light, It's a bit too dark now. <8s
The whole idea of the mod is it's supposed to make half life darker, litteraly.
