Let's continue travelling through inspiring real-world places. White Castle has a pumping station. Its coloured pipes take water from the river nearby. Such station exists at the village near Malaya Yelovka River - yes, the same river you've seen in first Dev Diary, just downstream from the reservoir.
Birch grove near the riverbank is inspired by grove near Kitoi river.
As you have already noticed, the river in Extreme Chase is bigger than Malaya Yelovka. It's real-world prototype is... Right, Kitoi, which is obviously also bigger.
