GDI organizations were infiltrated and broken down by traitors working for the NOD. Ultimately, the GDI organisation ceased to exist. NOD takes over piece by piece Europe. Small groups of partisans, consisting of former GDI forces, are scattered across Europe and want to unite to fight against the NOD.
