Metroid: Federation at War for FoC allows players to choze to play as either the Galactic Federation with Bounty Hunter Samus Aran and Commander Adam Malkovich or play as the Space Pirates with the Evil Phazon being Dark Samus and Geoform 187, Meta-Ridley.
This is sort of a contiuation of the mod Metroid Prime Conquest created by modder 1upD.
This mod uses all of 1upD's stuff from Metroid Prime Conquest (with Permission) and adds the Galactic Federation as a playable faction. Because there is a very little amount of Starships and Ground Vehicles, nearly everything for the Federation is Fanon. Nearly all starships are based off the design and apperance of the G.F.S. Olympus. Also just like 1upD's mod, all units are reskins of exisiting EaW ships.

Just like in EaW all ships will have unique names.
All Olympus-class ships are named after Greek Gods, with a few exceptions, like the G.F.S. Valhalla II and the Elysian.
Hyperion-class ships are named after the Titans from Greek mythology. Current list of names include, G.F.S. Hyperion, Promethus, Cronus, Atlas, Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Tethys, Theia, Themis, Eos, Helios, Selene, Asteria, Pallas, Perses, Astraeus, and Rhea.
Asgard-class ships get their names from Norse mythology. Names for the Asgard-classes include, G.F.S. Asgard, Loki, Thor, Odin, Fenrir, Midgard and Valkyrie.
For the Griffin-class names come from mythic creatures. Names are, G.F.S. Griffin, Medusa, Centaur, Cyclops, Harpy, Hydra, and Pegasus.
And finally the Ulysses-class. Because the Federation only has Four ship of this class, the is pretty short. Ship names are the G.F.S. Ulysses, Odyssey, Daedalus, and Phoenix.
Currently the other ships don't have any unique names.
