So, after around 400 hours of work, I have finished the beta of Escape: Paradise. If you're unfamiliar with it, it is a mod/map combo that tries something new with the CryEngine 2 (instead of the usual killing waves of helpless Koreans). Pretty much, it's a survival/exploration game where you are unceremoniously dumped on a deserted island, and told to escape.
No nano-suit, no set objectives (except, well, escape), no gruff military guy yakking in your ear about some HVT. No requirement to kill anything, although you certainly will be put in a few intense situations where violence is an option. You will need to find food to survive, and gas to fuel vehicles to power your escape.
Download should be up July 1st, people interested in testing merely need to "apply" down below.

If you'd like someone to bug test and beta test before the public release, I'd be happy to, I'm a huge Crysis modder and have had my eyes on this for a long time. I'd be happy to give detailed, private, confidential bug reports to you.
^Me too. I'll bug test the hell out of this xD
Thanks for the offers guys, I'll upload the file here with a password-protected .zip and PM you passwords and some important notes. Be warned it's my first Crysis release, so expect a lot of bugs.
nice! looking forward to seeing it, and especially a crysis mod that is not the standard fare.
Thanks man, I'm hoping to get some screens/vids up ASAP, if only I had a good recording application.
Id like to help out too with a beta. Dont really know a lot about modding (except tweaking healt, energy....) in crysis but for some reasons i have a knack for finding bugs and i have somewhat of an eye for quality
Alright, I'll start compiling a list of testers on the news post, and you will all receive the download + instructions via PM July 1st.
Ok,except for the second week in july i can pretty much devote all of my time to testing.
Looking forward to this mod.
PS. Good recording software would be fraps, it isnt totally freeware but its quite easy to find a creacked one (not that i endorse pirating)
I have fraps (legit version), however, it lags my game quite badly (around 20 FPS out of combat). I could use it to snap some screens, though...
Try reducing the recording quality, i recorded minecraft on full quality with a little fps drop but the files became huge, more than halved the quality - no fps drop - more managable file size.
If not you could always try hypercam but i cant say if its good or not since i havenĀ“t used it.
Hmmm, I'll try that, although Crysis is a little more resource intensive than Minecraft :P
Hypercam is crappy, but less lag would be nice.
