To install this mod, place the "error" folder in your "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods" directory or wherever your Steam installation is. Then, launch Steam (or exit and
relaunch Steam if it's already open) and start up ERROR.
There's a custom background and logo you can use for the Steam library that's located in the "customimages" folder as well.

i can't figure out how to apply it to my game. i have portal on steam, i follow youtube directions and i've done everything they say but the game runs like no mod has been installed. can i have help with this?
Make sure you have Portal installed before downloading, then put the “error” folder in your sourcemods folder and open Steam (or restart Steam if it’s already open). You should be able to find ERROR in your Steam library from there (be sure not to launch Portal, as that just launches the original game)

Hey all, took a look through the files. Found the backgrounds images (for steam) nothing in them. Found something peculiar in the Maplist. It's a list of all the maps in the game, From err1 to 18. However, one of them is called err15_originalending. Any idea what this is? Found creator.wav in the sound folder. This is just beeps, alongside clacking noises/frog noises. until the end where the beeps go crazy.
Found 2 things, a file called easteregg.wav, plays some old timey jazz music and a script called Deaddevgames.txt. It's a text file that opens up to this:

Now,I thought it was all random symbols. BUT EUREKA! The top line says png. Putting this through a TXT to PNG converter leads to an image. WITH A LINK TO A DEADDEVGAMES YTUBE CHANNEL. I'MMA START WATCHING.
EDIT: the blogs constantly mention doubling up, the cubes doubling up, the image doubling up the sound and finally we get to the EYE symbol. Using an SSTV file in a sound folder, we get this image. Imgur.com
When you then take the message.txt, we get this. Drive.google.com WHICH WHEN RUN THROUGH A BRAILLE CHART, GIVES YOU #256. What do the numbers mean? #256 and 57256?
Extra thing, the image on the youtube channel leads to a dj khaled video?

honestly i'm angry.. angry about the fact this mod hasn't gotten more attention! seriously, this is an incredible mod with an interesting storyline. i kept feeling uneasy while playing the game, even without the use of jumpscares. i think what REALLY got me the most was the scene changes, especially the one where you appear in that room with the 'Good Morning, Adam!' message, paired with the song heartaches by al bowly. like holy ****. anyways, a jolly good mod, 10 out of 10!
Despite downloading it into the sourcemods folder and restarting steam multiple times, it still doesn't show up.
The eyes on all the NPCs are missing texture.
