This mod is intended to give SWAT4 a much needed graphical upgrade on most equipment. Some protective gear such as helmets and gasmasks are added and most weapons have received some aesthetic and audio related changes. Some AI tweaks might be added as well.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on how long someone should be in the "tased" state after being shot with the X12. I'd really like to have someone going down to the ground as it is in real life, but right now it looks as though that is impossible with the current engine limitations. I will look into it though.
But for now I have been using the same tased time as the original tasers ingame, which is about 1 second and adds a huge morale modifier. While it doesn't subtract 100% morale right now, I have not seen a single suspect not giving up after being X12'd and issued compliance once.

Let me know what your thoughts are on this!

As it is, we all know that the taser never fails to make suspects comply. In my opinion, the added range, accuracy, and number of shots already provides a significant advantage. Increasing shock duration or subtracting morale would be overkill against the AI. At least, this is how I feel right now. I can't be certain until I can try the X12 for myself but the other option would be to increase the tased time slightly to allow for players to cover more ground (because of the increased range) and have some extra time to secure weapons and control the situation.

I agree with all of what you just said. However, if we're talking about an entirely accurate X12 "experience" than the target would be stunned and down on the ground for a full 20 seconds. It seems good as it is, so entirely up to you Drummer.

I was wondering if there's a way we could see the shell/electrodes on the suspects. If it's too much work or not feasible then forget I said anything :)

For me, it would be really cool to see the suspect/uncompliant civilian fall to the ground for 10-20 seconds at which point you could arrest them on the ground and they would remain face down.

Given the possible engine limitations and the fact that this would be purely for dramatic effect and authenticity rather than game-play, I don't think it's something that I'm too concerned with. By all means if you think you can make it happen, that would be great but I don't think it's worth delaying the release over.

I realize most of the X12 shotgun videos look a lot like eachother. To the trained eye and the true fans, it will be noticed that the first person model is starting to get some animations :)
