An ancient looking man enters a vast, circular chamber made of a pitch black material. His stride is strong and youthful, a far from expected cadence from a man of his visage. He approaches the center of the chamber, where glowing rings on the floor mark his destination. He comes to a stop in the center, waiting only momentarily before being addressed. A voice that sounds like a BM:Hazard Course "developer" fills the room. "Your work is too cartoony." "I'm glad you think so." said the wise man. "It's just the motivation I needed."

Calling all modders! The pre-recruitment phase has come to a close!

Posted by on

I'm pleased to announce the official launch of "Eon" We have been at work for weeks now in a pre-recruitment phase. During this time, we have completed the basis of the mod from multiple standpoints. The story functions well and is ready to produce content for. We have a viable design document, and a specific task list document for developers to 'check off' on as they select a task from the list. Progress is getting heavy in programming. Props and materials have been produced. The menu system is coming together with a cohesive and attractive theme.

Level design at this point is primarily limited to test maps and scenario backdrops to test the proof of concept for programming. Several new, custom entities have already been produced and integrated into the mod's .fgd file. In the hands of level designers now are concepts such as random encounter generation, dynamic character switching, and pre/post battle scene timing.

More working features will be posted in the features section.

We are currently recruiting for:
*Level Design (mappers)
*Model Design (any level of ability helpful)
*Concept Artist (give the 3d artists something to work off of!)
*Materials (help speed things up for the 3d guys)
*Sound Design - We have a few guys doing some music, so you could collaborate, or just do your own thing, but we're wanting a soundtrack of several dozen themes for characters/places etc...

Join the team by posting on our website's forums ('welcome mat' or 'show and tell')

New members will be given access to the developer forum on our website. From there you'll have your hands full reading the posts, which comprise a robust documentation. Inside you'll find the full (developer's/SPOILER) story, the design document, the task list, documentation on completed concepts, and a mapper's reference for using the mod's custom entities. If you then decide to stay on, FTP information will be provided, and you can choose your first task off the task list.
