Sins of a Solar Empire is often described as a 4XRTS game, or a game that tried to merge the action and tactics packed gameplay of a Real time strategy game with the deep, complex, empire wide strategy of a 4X turn based game. It's up to debate whether Sins succeeded in this goal, but I think all can agree that of the 4Xs of "explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate", Sins is much more focused on the exterminate than on the others. This mod seeks to give more depth to the other 3Xs of the game by adding additional game elements or refining the existing ones to reward players who give more strategic thought to the non-combat side of the game. Combat will still be the center point of the game, but players will find that the non-combat options available will be much more rewarding. Spying, exploring, sabotage, diplomacy, culture, and economic development have all been added or changed in innovative new ways. Regardless of what you think Sins is, this is the 4XRTS it should have been.

Hiya, I really loved this mod it is absolutely fantastic and cant stop playing. I have an issue in that i dont seem to have the option to spawn the anti-structure nanite swarm from the sivuskras ruiner. I researched the ability but the option doesn't appear in it's abilities list. I have the "create explosive mine" and the "create gravity mine" options but nothing else. I am running the no superweapons + expanded research + non-vasari phase gate optional mods. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for this fantastic mod! Really breathes so much more life into the game. |

You are absolutely right and it was a graphic mod causing a problem. I tried it without and the assault swarms are there. This is fantastic thank you soooo much for such a great mod i love how every race feels so much more individual with aspects to exploit. Thanks again! |

Glad you're enjoying it. If you still want to try the Graphics mods, try putting all E4X mods above it in your mod order. This will ensure that no E4X content like the Assault Swarm doesn't appear, though it will also revert some of the graphics changes (in this case, the Ruiner will still have vanilla graphics, but ships that don't conflict will have the enhanced graphics). I've heard there might be a mod friendly version out as well, but I've not tried it myself. Edited by: GoaFan77 |
