Freezing bug - I might have something... Thread - Enhanced 4X Mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion
Sins of a Solar Empire is often described as a 4XRTS game, or a game that tried to merge the action and tactics packed gameplay of a Real time strategy game with the deep, complex, empire wide strategy of a 4X turn based game. It's up to debate whether Sins succeeded in this goal, but I think all can agree that of the 4Xs of "explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate", Sins is much more focused on the exterminate than on the others. This mod seeks to give more depth to the other 3Xs of the game by adding additional game elements or refining the existing ones to reward players who give more strategic thought to the non-combat side of the game. Combat will still be the center point of the game, but players will find that the non-combat options available will be much more rewarding. Spying, exploring, sabotage, diplomacy, culture, and economic development have all been added or changed in innovative new ways. Regardless of what you think Sins is, this is the 4XRTS it should have been.

OK so I know that from the other forums I've read, this is an elusive bug for you. But I might have something. The bug has happened to me and my friend on multiple occasions, but this one recent time, my friend swore he had just gotten the Suppression Aura on his Coronata Titan (Unity Loyalists, don't remember the mod name for them) before this happened. He was in mid-battle with a Hard AI (he was kind of getting rekt, he was heavily outnumbered). His titan was level 3, he had all the available abilities and the Adaptive Weapons upgrade. Sadly, he doesn't remember what levels they were at, but it could be it. Or it could have been a coincidence with something else and I'm leading you on a wild goose chase. Either way it's a start. And yes this was a online multiplayer game. I'll give a link to the save files when I get them uploaded, which should be soon. Edited by: goodODSTunit |

Thanks! I don't recall changing suppression aura but we did think the Advent Loyalist/Orthodox were the most likely culprit. I'll try to check it out. --

And my friend overwrote the save file when we started a new game, so rip. Sorry man, I could try and duplicate it and see if something happens. |
