Sins of a Solar Empire is often described as a 4XRTS game, or a game that tried to merge the action and tactics packed gameplay of a Real time strategy game with the deep, complex, empire wide strategy of a 4X turn based game. It's up to debate whether Sins succeeded in this goal, but I think all can agree that of the 4Xs of "explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate", Sins is much more focused on the exterminate than on the others. This mod seeks to give more depth to the other 3Xs of the game by adding additional game elements or refining the existing ones to reward players who give more strategic thought to the non-combat side of the game. Combat will still be the center point of the game, but players will find that the non-combat options available will be much more rewarding. Spying, exploring, sabotage, diplomacy, culture, and economic development have all been added or changed in innovative new ways. Regardless of what you think Sins is, this is the 4XRTS it should have been.

The Enhanced 4X Mod version 1.801 for Rebellion version 1.83. This is a minor patch that updates the mod to Rebellion version 1.83. For Steam users still on version 1.82, please continue to use E4X 1.8 until Steam updates your game to 1.83. Checksum is 35390074. woah, thanks for the update :D

but... can you also update the optional mod too

cause some of them not compatible

Doubled Fleet Supply and Capitalships - work with 1.83
No Superweapons - work with 1.83

Expanded Research - work with 1.83 but some research gone [colonize new dlc planet]
Resetting Titan Levels - crash when a titan spawn [player or AI]

Exploding Mines - i guess its work
No Vasari Gates - i guess its work

IT ALL WORKS WITH E4X 1.801 :D

before i was using vanilla with optional, 2 days ago i was finally using E4X mod

and all the optional mod WORKS fine [except the deathmatch thing cause i didn't test it]

Hi there,

I just downloaded this mod to play Interregnum with and I keep getting an error message on start up that closes my program. I've been playing STA 3 a ton recently and so have already used Large Address Aware. My checksum also is accurate.

I tried uninstalling all my mods (STA 3, and Interregnum) but it did not help.

What should I try next?

This particular version of E4X is only for Rebellion 1.83. Most players are still on version 1.82. You should keep using E4X 1.8/Interregnum 3.1 if you have 1.82.

Super weapons, man, such a game breaker for me.

I mean, titans are tough, but at least they can't blow up half my everything from another star system...
