The Enduring Freedom project is aiming to bring realistic combat simulation to the GEM 2 engine and is focused on the units involved in the initial coalition combat ops during Operation Anaconda in Afghanistan (Special Forces, 10th Mountain Div, and 101st Airborne). Conventional warfare will be presented as well. Project features and info can be located in the news section.
This are great quality models and textures! But can the MoW engine keep up with it? Is there lagg or major frame rate drop?
I haven't experienced any lag what so ever concerning weapons/humans. There is some in really dense forest test maps but this was remedied through adding LODS to trees (alpine). Still need to have lowered view distance for dense forest maps for now. Ideally down the road LODS will be added to everything possible in order to provide further optimization and allow farther view distances.
gorgeous textures! :)
whats the poly count?
Cheers. The poly count is 737. I should mention as I said in post response above, I plan on implementing LODS on most things, with weapons being one of those categories I plan on optimizing via patches.
nice
